This past Friday was Senior night for the Dalhart Wolves and Joey and I had the honor of escorting Koby and being his "parents" that night. Koby is Joey's nephew that moved in with us two years ago this December. When Koby moved here he had been kicked out of school, was failing all of his classes, didn't play football, and life was a struggle. In the past two years he has become an A/B student, become a Christian, and is one heck of a football player!!! Koby has joined the Marines and will be leaving this summer! I am so proud of this kid and can't wait to see what his future holds. Koby, this page is dedicated to you!!!

I can't even tell you how proud I am of you! You and Joey are amazing for taking him in and extraordinary for turn him into the incredible young man he is. You remind me of some people in Childress that were always willing to help kids out when they most needed a family. You're amazing. I really enjoyed my time with you the other night!!!!! I miss you!
